I’m making an effort (for some values of “effort”) to line up my “evening painting” with 2000 UK Time and a camera. I’m doing the Twitch Streaming thing - I guess.
I had wanted to do Balthasar Gold across all the models … but … speed said “No” which was surprising.
One of the ex Games Workshop product designers (who was bald) mentioned pulling his hair out whenever they did user testing and everybody grabbed the smallest brush they sold and then wondered why it took them forever to finish their models.
🙃
His grumbling vibe was - all that really matters is the tip (and fiber makeup) when you’re doing details - the large belly means the paint holds in the brush better without drying out. I’m sure that there are times this isn’t true … I just don’t know what they are.
😁
Sooo … as I’ve been trying to move away from my very silly obsession with using the starter brush for everything, I’ve been coming back to the three army painter brushes I have starting with the big one.
😜
Technically … it’s a “rotmarder sable” which … I think is the more modest of the cuts of hair from the “siberian weasel” … I hadn’t realised it was from an animal; not 100% sure how I feel about that. I made a list of the stuff I was using and painting (before hand) so here’s that …
- the brush I’m using
- the wet palette
- the infantry are from the “Thunderstrike Brotherhood”
- the big guy is from the “Masters of the Sacrosanct” set
- the camera I’m using
- … but I’ve red-necked it and changed how it focussed …
